Snakes alive at nature reserve
The club supports the conservation of British snakes and beyond the event it is asking members of the public to look out for snakes.
A spokesman said: “Grass snakes and adders can still be found in the North West but their numbers are in decline mainly due to habitat loss.

Grass snakes and adders can still be found in the north west but their numbers are in decline because of habitat loss.
There are probably very few isolated populations left in Lancashire but the club is keen for local people to report sightings on Facebook, the website www.northwestreptileclub.wordpress.com or e-mail [email protected].
There is no need to book and activities are free of charge.
