Help shape the 40th carnival

Preston Carnival wants to start arranging plans for its 40th anniversary at a meeting on Saturday, February 8.

Jalgos Sports and Social Club on Rose Street – a long time supporter of the Carnival – will host the meeting from 3pm.

One of the themes for this year in the Caribbean Carnival is Ruby – as it is the 40th – and organisers are setting up a new troupe which will explore this theme in costume and performance.

Leroy Allen, media co-ordinator for Preston Carribean Carnival, said: “Come and share your ideas, thoughts and feelings about the carnival with us and find out about the different ways you could get involved.”
