A Load of Rubbish is described as ‘an eco-friendly comedy play with music’.
It is being performed by The Village Players at St Mary’s School on The Green, Eccleston, near Chorley.

Hide AdThe Village Players are a new group whose members attend St Mary’s Church, Eccleston.
They started rehearsing their play in April.
June Davenport, one of the group’s members, said: “The show is being performed over the Harvest Weekend and we thought it appropriate to highlight the fact that we should all be recycling, which more and more people are now doing.
“We also wanted it to be a family show with a bit of a message.
“The parts that are being played are items of rubbish like newspapers, a carrier bag, etc and the show includes some songs as well.

“We plan to do other productions in the future but the proceeds from this play will go to St Mary’s Church.
“Other events in the future may help to raise funds for other local community groups or charities.
The play is being performed from 7.30pm next Friday and Saturday, September 27 and 28.
