Preston will establish itself on another of the UK's food maps on Sunday when the city stages its first vegan market.

The event is being held at the People’s Production Lab (PPL) in Cannon Street (11am-5pm) and will bring together a host of local producers who are now feeding a growing vegan population in Lancashire.

“Our unique market is a great addition to Preston’s community life, offering people the chance to sample and buy an amazing range of items and then sit down, relax and enjoy delicious food, plus live music and an all day bar,” said Emma Cox, spokesman for Preston Vegan Market. “The mix of stallholders highlights the rich diversity of vegan products that are now available in and around Preston.”

The market will feature 30 stalls offering food, drink, jewellery, beauty products and gifts, all created without the use or exploitation of animals.
