Nuttall-Johnson
Sarah Nuttall, daughter of David Nuttall and Viviane Astbury, and Steven Johnson, were married at Eaves Hall Country Hotel, Clitheroe. Steven is a landscape gardener and Sarah is about to graduate as a nurse.
After a honeymoon in Mexico, the couple will live in Great Harwood.

Sprakes-Wolstenholme
Heather Sprakes, a communications officer for the NHS, and Nicholas Wolstenholme, marketing executive for the Manchester Evening News, married on August 2 at Euxton Parish Church.
Heather, the daughter of Ian and Julie Sprakes, of Chorley, and Nicholas, son of Ian and Elizabeth, of Bolton, then enjoyed a reception with friends and family at Worden Arts Centre, in Leyland. The couple honeymooned in the Algarve.

Nickson-Möller
Peter and Michelle Nickson of Ashton, Preston, have pleasure in announcing the recent marriage, in Perth, Western Australia, of their son, Chris, and Maaike, elder daughter of Saskia and George Möller of Bergen, Northern Holland. Chris & Maaike met while doing a diploma course at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and are both now working as doctors in Perth, Australia.

Primary School Football
Football-mad youngsters from small primary schools in Preston were on the right side of the law when they took part in the Barton Grange trophy.
For among referees was local beat bobby PC John McCartney.

Morecambe West End Gardens fun day
A day of family fun was held to celebrate the opening of Morecambe's West End gardens.
Entertainment was provided by the Matt Robinson Jazz Trio, local group Lost the Plot, plus bike stunts and tricks from the Trials Display Mountain Bike Team. Saturday's event also celebrated the completion of a new cafe, Breeze.
