A fashionable start for a Lady Captain
Alison Davidson was delighted with the event, which raised £1,945 for her chosen charity, Alder Hey Children’s hospital.
Alison says: “When I was elected as Lady Captain, I chose to support Alder Hey after my two-year-old grandson, Knox, had a serious head operation there as he was born with cranial fusion.

“Our family is eternally gratefully for the care and support they received during an extremely difficult time, so this is a chance to give something back.”
The catwalk was presented by Flamingo of Penwortham, showing a range of fashions from casual and smart, through to mother of the bride and evening wear.
There was also a range of food stalls, including a chocoholic’s heaven from Choc Amor and treats for coelics from Chargedberry.

“We were extremely well supported and we raised £1,945 which is amazing.
“We hold a fashion show every year and it is the first fund-raiser in the calendar as a newly elected captain.
