Preston man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following stabbing in Walton-le-Dale

Yesterday (October 26), the Post reported how a man had been hospitalised after suffering a stab wound during a serious assault in Walton-le-Dale. Detectives released a CCTV image of a man they believed “could have vital information”, appealing for him to come forward.
South Ribble Police have today said: “Good news this morning everyone. Yesterday we appealed for information to identify a man in connection with a serious assault in Walton-le-Dale on Tuesday. Following a public appeal, a 37-year-old man from Preston has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in custody.”

Hide AdPolice were called to reports of a disturbance at an address in Church Brow at around 9.45pm on Tuesday (October 25). A man was found with serious injuries, including a stab wound, at a nearby address when officers arrived. He was taken to hospital for treatment and remains in a serious condition.
A 46-year-old man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of assault, after he also attended hospital with injuries. He remains in police custody.
