Daniel Edmundson, who was wanted by police after a watch valued at £10,000 was stolen in Fishergate Shopping Centre, was found hiding inside a "kitchen cupboard".

Daniel Edmundson, 28, was wanted by police after a burglary at Cash Converters in Fishergate Shopping Centre.

A window was smashed and a watch valued at £10,000 was stolen on March 10.

Police wanted to speak to Edmundson in connection with the burglary, and launched a public appeal to find him.

Lancashire Police have now confirmed he has been arrested after he was found hiding at a friends house inside a kitchen cupboard.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "Last night #Team5IR tracked down wanted 28-year-old Daniel Edmundson hiding within a kitchen cupboard of a friends house.

"Edmundson was wanted for a £10,000 burglary in the City Centre.

"Edmundson and his friend both woke up in custody this morning."
