Weapons and £22k of drugs and cash seized after four Lancashire men arrested

Four men, aged between 16 and 27, were arrested by police on suspicion of drug dealing following three separate incidents in the borough.
£22,000 worth of drugs - including several kilograms of cocaine, heroin and cannabis - as well as cash and weapons were seized as a result of the arrests.

Hide AdA spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "It has been a good week of activity for the East Division Targeted Crime Team in Accrington so far.
"In total over £22,000 was found along with several kilos of cannabis, drugs packaging and weapons. Not a bad few days work for the team."
Officers arrested a 20-year-old local man in Oswaldtwistle after he was found in possession of cocaine, cash and two mobile phones on Monday (September 21).
Another £1,000 was also seized after police searched his address.

Hide AdThe following day (September 22), officers spotted two men, aged 16 and 18, involved in a suspected drugs transaction on Charter Street, Accrington.
One of the men was caught hiding crack cocaine and heroin in a cigarette packet that had been put down his trouser leg.
They were also found in possession of three mobile phones and cash, and, upon searching addresses linked to the men, £500 hidden in an air freshener as well as a "large quantity" of nitrous oxide canisters.
A 27-year-old local man, who police believed may have been dealing drugs in the area, was later stopped as he was driving along Sydney Street on Wednesday (September 23).

Hide AdOfficers discovered £1,500 in cash, three mobile phones and around 50 tubs of cannabis while searching his car.
A significant amount of cash and drugs were also seized following a raid at an address linked to the man.
"Wonder who is going to be next through the doors. No one thinks they are going to get caught but they always do eventually," the spokesman added.
