A woman was left with a broken ankle after she was attacked at a petrol station in Blackburn.

A woman in her 30s was attacked by another woman at the Texaco petrol station (Lock Mill Service Station) in Bolton Road at around 11.30pm on July 8.

The victim suffered a broken ankle.

Officers on Monday (August 7) released CCTV images of three people they wanted to speak to in connection with the assault.

Later in the evening, officers confirmed they had been identified.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: “We asked for your help earlier to identify some people we wanted to speak to in connection with an assault in Blackburn.

“Thanks to your help we have now been given some names and those individuals will be spoken to in due course.

“Many thanks to everyone who helped by coming forward with information. It is greatly appreciated.”
