Soap stars and entertainment set for village carnival
The Jubilee Playing Fields in Adlington will play host to the annual Adlington and District Carnival from Friday until Sunday.
The three-day event, which has been running for the last 43 years, will see a number of entertainment acts, such as musicians, school performances, and a motorcross display team - as well as the Adlington’s Got Talent competition.

Hide AdMore than 50 floats will also take over the village in a midday parade on Saturday.
Emmerdale stars Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain Dingle, and Danny Miller, who plays Aaron Livesy, will also be guests at the event.
Over the rest of the weekend, there will also be a junior football tournament, a baby show and a dog show.
