Penwortham girl recovering after being hit by car outside school
A 14-year-old school girl from Penwortham is recovering at home after being hit by a car.
The Penwortham Girls High pupil was crossing Cop Lane yesterday (Thursday December 20) when she was knocked down by a car.
The car, believed to be a Ford Fiesta, stopped after the collision and called an ambulance.

Hide AdThe collision happened around 2.30pm as pupils were on their way home after finishing for Christmas.
The Ford Fiesta is believed to have caught the school girl with its wing mirror.
According to police, the girl 'suffered a minor injury'.
