Six-year-old boy in serious condition after crash
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened at around 4pm yesterday when the boy was travelling on a motorised scooter.
As he emerged from Hawthorn Road on to Pennine Road in Bacup, east Lancashire, he was involved in a collision with a black Ford Galaxy.

Hide AdThe boy suffered head injuries and was airlifted to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
PS Tracey Ward of the Road Policing Unit said: “This collision has left a young boy with serious injuries but thankfully they are not thought to be life threatening. We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and witnessed what happened to contact us.”
