A man was taken to hospital after a serious crash on the A59 in Hutton yesterday (Monday, October 16).
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene near Howick Primary School at 8.26am, after a white SUV was involved in a crash with another car near the junction with Lindle Lane.
Two fire engines attended and crews cut the roof of the car to rescue a man trapped inside while sheets were placed around the wreck to shield the scene from passing motorists.
