Would you like a cat with that sofa?
Shoppers taking a trip to Furniture Village at the Capitol Centre Retail Park this December may spot a few new additions curled up on the sofas of the store with Delilah, Poppy and Daisy hoping to melt a few hearts.
To mark the launch of its new Preston store, Furniture Village has teamed-up with Lancashire Cat Rescue for a retail first, producing life-size cut outs of the adoptable cats needing homes.

Charlie Harrison, director of multichannel at Furniture Village, said: “It made perfect sense for Furniture Village to support an amazing local charity such as Lancashire Cat Rescue, and do our bit to help them find new homes for these deserving cats.
“This might seem unconventional, but our customers arrive at stores looking for new and attractive items to enhance their homes, and I think that these felines fall comfortably within such a description.”

Founder of Lancashire Cat Rescue Christine Lomax added: “We are always happy to bring our cats to the attention of those who might offer them a good home.
“Though our four-legged residents might be blissfully unaware that they are making British retail history, I suspect that they would approve.
“I hope that people will consider them, and their other friends, for adoption.”
