The battle of third against fourth in League Two saw the Shrimps twice overturn deficits with Cole Stockton and Carlos Mendes Gomes cancelling out goals from Aaron Collins and Jamille Matt.
It was Mendes Gomes who snatched a point for Morecambe deep into added time, and although they dropped a place to fifth, results elsewhere leave them only three points behind leaders Cheltenham Town.

Hide AdSpeaking afterwards, Adams said: “It was a really good performance from us, we deserved to win the game.
“We had 14 attempts on goal to Forest Green’s seven. We outpassed them, we outpressed them and I think Forest Green knew they were in a game.
“I thought our players were fantastic. We defended well, we attacked really well, but we obviously failed to take the opportunities we created.
“We scored a good goal at the start with Cole Stockton - a great turn and finish - and then towards the end, another team trying to time waste fell foul and Carlos (Mendes) Gomes got a great header into the goal.

“The back four got forward and defended well. It’s a difficult game for both sides and I think it was a good advert for League Two football.”
