A night of fun and gin has raised £300 for Galloway's Society for the Blind.

Liam Betney, who runs Tasting Events UK, organised a gin festival at Brook House Hotel, Clayton-le-Woods, to support the charity.

Members of Galloway’s Society for the Blind Choir showcased their vocal talents and there was also music from Brindle singer Johnny Oates.

Chorley FM was also there to provide extra entertainment.

Liam, 31, of Whittle-le-Woods, said: “I wanted to do something to support the local community and Galloway’s has an excellent reputation in the North West.

“It was a really good night and members of the charity were so grateful for our support. We hope to link with them again in the future.”
